Biennial parasitic herb, 15–40(–50) cm tall, densely villous. Stems erect and unbranched. Leaves ovate-lanceolate. Flowers blue-purple to pale purple, borne in dense inflorescences. Capsule ovoid-oblong to oblong. Parasitic mainly on species of Artemisia. Grows on slopes and in grasslands.
